Spirit of the American Doughboy
Created by Frank Colson in 1998 from an original created in the 1920 by Ernest Moore Visquesney. A bronze World War I soldier designed to honor the veterans and casualties of World War I.

Honoring outstanding circus performers, owners, and animal trainers. Wagon Wheel Symbol designed by artist Frank Hopper with research assistance by circus historian John Lentz. Founded in 1986 by Larry Marthaler, Executive Director Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau 1982-1998.

National Art Day
In celebration of National Art Day on Sunday, October 25, 2020 we put together a few fun fall crafts! How will you celebrate the day...paint a master piece, sculpt a sculpture, photograph a sunrise, make music? We want to know! In the News
Hog Creek Watershed Restoration at Pioneer Park
The 65 Bay Haven School of Basics Plus students, their families and friends were absolutely BRILLIANT on Saturday, September 26, 2020!
The students and volunteers planted 200 native Florida plants as part of the
Hog Creek Watershed Restoration at Pioneer Park. They also expanded the existing "Save Sarasota Bay and the Manatees" Butterfly Garden that was dedicated in May 2019 by another 1,000 sq. ft.! Everyone had fun painting the 25 white 12" x 12" concrete pavers for the garden.
