Summer's here, but the League isn't resting on its laurels:
Saturday will be a National Day of Action as communities around the country rally to amplify the message that
Families Belong Together.
The Greenfield rally will be held from 1:00-2:30pm on the Town Common. Come wearing your League t-shirts and buttons, and join us in supporting
an end to immigration criminalization, detention, and deportations in our communities.

We're planning to march again in Shelburne's Fourth of July parade next Wednesday.
We'll meet at 10:30am on July 4 in front of Lamson & Goodnow, 45 Conway St. in Buckland. The parade ends at the Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School, where the Boy Scouts will hold their annual chicken bbq; we'll have a table there for voter registration and other assorted goodies, including LWV temporary tattoos and copies of the U.S. Constitution.

The Massachusetts House passed the Automatic Voter Registration bill 130-20!
AVR now goes to the Senate for action. Please take a moment to
thank your State Representative
and urge your State Senator to vote for the bill when it reaches the floor.
The Voter Services Committee Meeting will be held July 10 at 6:00pm
at 170 Main St in Greenfield. Many hands make light work, so we hope you'll join us.
The LWVFC will be co-sponsoring or participating in five different candidate events this summer.
Keep an eye out for the full list of dates next week; we'll be seeking volunteers.
Most of the forums will be held in August, but there is one in July. The League is not a co-sponsor, merely providing timekeepers. However, it's an important topic, and we encourage you to attend:
