The Next Chapel Women's Book Club
Meeting is on
Wednesday, February 19th
Our current book is:

All This I Will Give to You
by Dolores Redondo

With a rating of 4.11 on Goodreads, this is one of the free Amazon books we got a few months ago

Goodreads description: The award-winning, international bestselling page-burner about the secrets and lies of one man that lead another into a treacherous house of strangers…

When novelist Manuel Ortigosa learns that his husband, Álvaro, has been killed in a car crash, it comes as a devastating shock. It won’t be the last. He’s now arrived in Galicia. It’s where Álvaro died. It’s where the case has already been quickly closed as a tragic accident. It’s also where Álvaro hid his secrets.

The man to whom Manuel was married for fifteen years was not the unassuming man he knew.

Álvaro’s trail leads Manuel deep into one of Spain’s most powerful and guarded families. Behind the walls of their forbidding estate, Manuel is nothing but an unwelcome and dangerous intruder. Then he finds two allies: a stubbornly suspicious police lieutenant and Álvaro’s old friend—and private confessor—from seminary school. Together they’re collecting the pieces of Álvaro’s past, his double life, and his mysterious death.
But in the shadows of nobility and privilege, Manuel is about to unravel a web of corruption and deception that could be as fatal a trap for him as it was for the man he loved.

This book is 490 pages so we will read the first half for our February 19th meetings and the second half for our March 4th meeting.
Book Suggestions Needed
for February 19th Meeting

We discussed several options for selecting books, as we have all struggled with reading books at the same time.

We want to get back to the way things were prior to this summer. So, for our next meeting on February 19th, we are to select a book we would like to have the book club read.

Pick one book and bring a description of it with you to the meeting. A great source for book descriptions is Goodreads. If you don't have a Goodreads account, you might want to sign up. It's a good way to keep track of what you have read, want to read, and you can even do a reading challenge for the year. The link for it is https://www.goodreads.com.

Please check your library to see if your book suggestion is available in hardcopies and online. We all agreed that we don't mind buying some books if it's something we would all like to read. ( Educated comes to mind as many of us read it and thought it would have made a good discussion book for Book Club).

Be sure to check out the lists below. We added several books during our discussion at our last meeting. You might find your book club suggestion in the list below.

There is also a list below of books that several of us have already read, but were worth reading.
