A Word from Draino
One of the many blessings I have from being a part of the Camp Luther family has been watching kids that I had as campers grow up. It may sound funny and hard to believe but working at camp for 5 summers provided me the opportunity to see many kids come across that bridge and watch them grow up and change when they returned to camp the next summer.

I watched many of these individuals return to camp to serve as Junior Counselors, Counselors, Program Staff and even full time staff. Some of them have gone into church work and are serving in congregations all over the country. Without dating myself, I can even say that some are now parents, raising their children to follow Jesus!

The 3rd core value of Camp Luther reads as follows - Teach, model and practice servant leadership to encourage others to take positive action for building up the kingdom of God.  I have seen this core value in my children. I have seen this in the friends I worked with a long time ago who are now incredible servants, building up the kingdom. And I have seen this servant leadership in the kids I watched grow up! That is a gift.

I came to camp over 30 years ago for the first time. I served at camp in many ways.  My five summers serving at Camp Luther helped me to grow in my relationship with Jesus, my service to Him, and my desire to serve others. Servant Leadership is something I learned by working at camp. That servant leadership is something that has carried into many opportunities of service in my community, church and my children's schools.

Funds raised from this campaign will continue to let new kids come across that bridge and experience the servant leadership of the staff. And maybe the seeds planted in their hearts during their time here will grow in them as they seek to serve in His kingdom one day!

News from Woody

This is Lakeview cottage! We have begun an annual process of updating our 15 cottages. Our Maintenance and Improvements Director, "Rescue", and several skilled volunteers will give this dearly loved cottage a brand new, updated interior, windows, and doors. Soon it will capture new memories and blessings for the many families that enjoy staying in Lakeview each year.

Projects like these are made possible through gifts to our Outdoor Ministry Fund. Through your support we are able to bless all who visit with well maintained and updated facilities. Thank you for supporting Camp Luther's ministry to families.

Christ's Impact through Camp

"I am not alone in saying that working (and occasionally struggling) through three summers at camp has shaped me into the person I am today. I have confidence to go boldly in faith and love generously in the world because I was shown such love and unshakable faith at camp." - Erica

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ - Ephesians 4:11-12

Prayer Requests

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for
this is God's will for you
in Christ Jesus."
