The Fleet Feet family joins others in offering condolences to Ryann and David Brown for the loss of their son, 5-year-old Micah Brown, who was killed in a car accident this week. Cotton Row fees increase
Cotton Row registration increases from $25 to $40 May 17. Don't forget to register and save some $$$. Register here.  
Cotton Row training runs continue May 17/18 and May 24. The runs will start at 6 and 7 a.m.  and there is an aid station on the top of Mountainwood on Saturdays for both training runs. The Fleet Feet Racing team people will lead the groups each time.

The Harry William All Comers Track Meet scheduled Saturday at Milton Frank Stadium has been canceled this year because the Huntsville Track Club was unable to secure a track. It will return next year on May 16, 2015.

Join Fleet Feet Sports and Brooks the last Thursday of every month at Humphrey's Bar and Grill for a pub run at 5:30 p.m. A 3-5 mile fun run course will be available with drink specials to enjoy directly after the run and live bands starting at 7 p.m. All levels of runners and walkers are welcome and it's free to participate. Must be at least 21 years old to join in the pub run festivities after the run.
All social runs are at your own risk. For your safety, it is recommended that you follow the See and Be Seen strategy. Wear reflectivity accessories/apparel and use a headlamp or carry a light. You are expected to be courteous and share the sidewalk with others not running with the group. You are expected to follow the rules of the road, and obey all traffic signals, signs, etc.

Fleet Feet's annual Summer Fun Runs will start every Thursday night from June 5-Aug. 14 at 6 p.m. at the store. Join us 30 minutes before the Summer Fun Runs on the following dates to enjoy meeting with some great vendors and trial their product on the runs. Here is the schedule:

June 12 Hydration clinic with Nuun: Get tips to stay hydrated through the Summertime heat and enjoy samples of Bonk Breaker. You will also enjoy 20 percent off all Fuel Belt products for the evening.

June 19 Saucony Night: The Saucony Kinvara 5, Ride 7 and Omni 13 models will all be available to take on a trial run.

June 26 Moji/CEP Recovery Night: Josh Carson will be in the house to go over details on Moji and CEP recovery products. All Nathan hydration products are 20 percent off for the evening.

July 31 Nuun/Bonk Breaker/Fuel Belt Night: Dave Milner will be back with more Nuun, Bonk Breaker and Fuel Belt information and samples.

Running of the Bulls No Boundaries group now open


Fleet Feet's newest No Boundaries 5K program for the Running of the Bulls' race on Aug. 23 is now open. No Boundaries is a Walk/Run 5K (3.1 miles) training program designed for people who are currently inactive or new to walking and running. The program is structured to help you cross the finish line in just 10 weeks. The program not only includes a training plan with walk and run options, but a professional coach and a team atmosphere with the camaraderie of others. Weekly group training sessions will keep you motivated and moving. Educational clinics cover topics such as proper nutrition, choosing the right gear, and avoiding injury.  Here is a direct link to the No Boundaries link on the Fleet Feet website. 



Training Program Details:  

Training program kickoff: Tuesday, June 10 at 7 p.m.
Training dates and location: Monday nights at 6 p.m. and alternate runs on 
Wednesday nights at 6 p.m. from Fleet Feet Sports
Goal Race: Running of the Bulls on Saturday, Aug. 23 at 8 a.m.
Registration opens today for the Running of the Bulls, which will be held Aug. 23 at 8 a.m. on the Big Cove Greenway near Hampton Cove Middle School, 261B Old Highway 431. Registration is $15 for the 5K, $10 for the 1 mile fun run or $20 for both races from May 15-Aug. 1. After that, the 5K is $20, 1 mile $15 or both races $25 from Aug. 2-19. The race is sponsored by Asics.
