I hope and pray that you're doing well!
If you're available this Tuesday, August 4, please come support Stone Tower at the Kerns Neighborhood Picnic from 6:00 to 8:45 PM at Oregon Park (NE Oregon & NE 30th). Our Health & Temperance Team will have a booth there to share some of the principles Josephine Kelly has been teaching them. It's a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors and be a presence in the community.
Since this is the first Sabbath of the month, I will be at Lents. At Stone Tower, we have our Testimony Sabbath, a time when we get to hear what God has been doing in the lives of our members. If you have a testimony to share, please prayerfully consider stepping forward. It is always encouraging to see how God is at work among us.

Looking ahead, on August 22, we will be nominating our Organizing Committee during the church service. Please prayerfully consider those you feel led to nominate, and ask the Lord to guide us as we select leaders to serve our church family.
Please keep our next steps and events in your prayers as we seek to follow God's leading together.

There are many efforts in place.

Roommate/Caregiver Opportunity
A Christian friend who is paraplegic in Washougal, WA, is looking for a Christian female roommate who can provide part-time caregiving assistance in exchange for reduced rent. Duties, schedule, and rent arrangements are flexible and will be worked out together to find a good fit for both parties.

6:00 p.m. Kerns Neighborhood Picnic! Bring your mingling skills to the Kerns Neighborhood Picnic on Tuesday, August 4th, 6-9 pm at Oregon Park. We will staff a table at the park filled with books and information on activities at our church. We will also be serving non-dairy frozen desserts.

Your church family is invited to our next First Friday on August 7. First Friday is a once-monthly inspirational community fellowship event. It will be held at Adventist Health Portland Medical Center. It begins at 7:15 p.m. on the lower level in Amphitheaters C & D.
This First Friday will feature an inspirational talk by Sam Leonor and music by Evergreen Sound. We would like to invite you to join us for this FREE event and we encourage you to invite your friends and family members. Please download the flyer attached to this email for additional information.

Remember that dinner registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and please let us know how many guests you will be bringing with you. Streams of Light International has launched The Final Call, a new quarterly publication designed to equip and inspire Seventh-day Adventists for end-time mission. The magazine addresses common challenges believers face in engaging in outreach and provides practical guidance for sharing their faith.
Each issue features content on Adventist heritage, personal revival, true education, evangelism, and practical ways to share the Three Angels' Messages. The inaugural digital edition, along with the Spanish version El Último Llamado, is available free of charge. Attendees at ASI can also receive a complimentary printed copy while supplies last. The next issue is scheduled for release in early October.

FULL-TIME TREASURER STILL NEEDED AT PAES!
PAES is still in search of a full-time treasurer to join our PK–8 campus. This role requires good communication, flexibility, and skills in bookkeeping/accounting (QuickBooks experience preferred; training available). Responsibilities include billing, payroll, reconciliations, A/R and A/P, 1099 filing, budgeting, and monthly/year-end closing, with occasional reports to the school board. This year we welcome the 1999 and 2000 Golf Teams, Todd Manley, and Matt Ballou into the Cougar Hall of Fame, and celebrate Dick Molstead, Michael Conner, Matt Stanfill, Gale Crosby, and Donna Lewis as Cougar Stars.
