STONE TOWER MISSION:

To Seek & Save the Lost

January 9th, 2026

Good morning, everyone,

It was good to spend time with you all last Sabbath.

This coming Sabbath, I’ll be at Lents, preaching on a related theme. I’m intentionally working to have the messages at both churches connect, while still tailoring them to each congregation's specific needs.

I also hope you’re continuing with the Bible Reading for the Year plan. I’ll admit, it can feel like a flood of Scripture. I’m much more accustomed to slowly meditating on a verse or two a day, and it has taken me almost a year and a half to work through the Gospel of Mark. I’m still not finished with chapter 16. That said, it has been a meaningful challenge, and I’ve extended the same invitation to Lents, where several members have committed to reading along as well.

The next time I’m scheduled to be at Stone Tower is January 24, when I’ll be preaching Future-Focused Church, Part 2. Please lift that message in prayer as we continue discerning where God is leading us together.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (NKJV)

Thank you for your prayers and faithfulness.

May the Lord continue to guide us as we seek Him through His Word and walk together as a church family.

Prayers and Blessings,

David Kokiong

ABC Sabbath School - Daniel and Revelation

Daniel was a young man when he was captured and taken to a foreign country, and then he was called into duty by the LORD. Daniel had an amazing life beginning with his parents, and their training prepared him for a lifelong walk with the LORD, whether he was a teenager interpreting dreams of the most powerful man in his world or merely living life daily advising the powerful.

Fifty years go by, and then the LORD gives Daniel his own personal visions and dreams, and WOW are they fascinating and important to the world, his and ours.

As we explore Daniel's prophetic revelations, you will discover the connection to John's book of Revelation. We will draw in those visions and then the entirety of John's messages.

Join us in the ABC classroom downstairs, 9:35 am, for a dynamic, in-depth study of these two amazing messages from our LORD. This class will prepare you to comfortably and confidently discuss these books in any situation

Known and Loved

Give today and help strengthen Adventist Christian education:

paasda.org/give-a-gift

The last few months have been some of the most challenging in our history here at PACS, and we want to start by saying a heartfelt thank you.

When the federal government shut down, it abruptly halted SNAP benefits for 750,000 Oregonian families this past November. We saw the fear in our neighbors' eyes firsthand. Families who had never needed a food pantry before were suddenly at our door.

While we are incredibly relieved that benefits have since been reinstated. The crisis isn't over. The weeks of uncertainty forced many families to deplete their savings or skip other essential bills, just to eat.

Your support was the bridge that kept Portland families fed during that shutdown, and today, your donations remain just as critical as we help our community recover.

As we reach the end of the year, thank you for standing up for those in need and making hope possible, right when it is needed most.
