STONE TOWER MISSION:

To Seek & Save the Lost

May 8th, 2026

Hi everyone,

I hope you're doing well this week.

Thank you to everyone who has been submitting their Spiritual Gifts Surveys. We are processing the results and setting up appointments to go over them together. If you haven't submitted yours yet, please bring it to one of the elders or deacons during the service this Sabbath, or feel free to email it to me.

As this is the second Sabbath of the month, I will be at Lents. This Sabbath at Stone Tower, we are blessed to have Dr. Harold Lee speaking. His topic is "Ground of Salvation: Justification or Sanctification or Both?." Please keep him and his message in your prayers.

I did want to take a moment to reflect on last Sabbath. It was good to hear Kenny's sermonette, and it was very relevant for me personally. It made me want to pray more for my own family.

I really appreciated his angle on spiritual gifts and evangelism. He pointed out that some people are reluctant to go door to door not because they lack the gift, but because they may have never actually tried it to find out. Others, like Moses, are simply shy or unsure of themselves. That was a helpful reminder. While it is true that some may not have the gift of evangelism, I plan to address and explain this further in Spiritual Gifts, Part 3, where I will also talk about how we can work together as a team, using our different gifts in partnership, even when going door to door.

Thank you, Kenny, for that thoughtful message.

Coming up this Friday, May 8

The Advent Euphonic Chorale, a group of 31 young adults from the Adventist University of the Philippines, will be sharing a message in song on Friday, May 8, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Stone Tower.

While Lents is predominantly hosting them, we have an opportunity to support them as well.

The group is in need of help with transportation, meals, and possibly gas money. If you feel led to help, please click the link below to sign up. Any assistance, no matter how small, will be a great blessing to these young people as they minister to our community.

A historical review of the Seventh-day Adventist history from 1844 through 1891.

The title itself implies that the latter rain must have been among us as a people once before. If so, then exactly what was it and when did this occur?

As Ron Duffield reviews our history, our hearts will be strangely warmed as we see, perhaps as never before, that this great second Advent movement was raised up by God to give the latter rain message.

LISTEN ONLINE

"The latter rain did begin in the 1888-1895 era, but it was largely “resisted” by church leaders, we are told. I know, that is hard to believe and surely needs some explanations—all of which Ron addressed in Volume One. If

few are aware of how Christ was really treated over 125 years ago even among our own church fathers, is it possible that we are still wounding Him by our naïve or willful ignorance today?

Wounded in the House of His Friends brings us face to face with the reality of divine sufferings that were intensified during the 1888 episode and aftermath and that continue to this very day."
Herb Douglass

LISTEN ONLINE
