Trinity Trumpeter | May 27, 2022

As I get ready to embark on the adventure of motherhood in the next few weeks, I wanted to give you a Communications update. Firstly, I wanted to take a second and thank everyone for your amazing words of encouragement, support, and even gifts through my pregnancy journey. It has been truly amazing to have you as a support system. Please be gracious in all forms of communication that you receive during my absence. The Trinity staff has graciously agreed to handle the communication responsibilities in my absence.

We've seen such growth in all aspects of communications in the last year! In January, we launched a "featured article" with each Trumpeter that is sent out to highlight the various ministries and groups here at Trinity. Since this launch, we have seen a 2% growth in the number of emails being opened and read compared to 2021.

Also, in January, we implemented a marketing strategy of one advertisement per month that promotes a ministry or project to drive guests to our website or social media platform. Since this implementation, we've seen a 99.4% growth in our Instagram reach, 7% in our Instagram profile visits, and a 41.1% increase in our Facebook page visits. Although we've seen a slight decline in our Facebook reach, I believe this is due to the lack of need to connect online compared to the last two years in the COVID-19 pandemic. These advertisements have increased our website traffic, meaning people are visiting our website and finding the relevant information they are looking for.

Lastly, this year we are partnering more with our teams ("committees"), ministries, and impact groups to provide a church-wide fellowship or community outreach event each month. We are so thrilled to announce that this has been SUCCESSFUL! Since February, the following events have been hosted:
  • Hot Dog Heaven - Trinity Student Ministry (February)
  • An Evening with John Stitt - Emmaus (March)
  • WeServe - Trinity Student Ministry (March)
  • Easter Eggstravaganza - Communications (April)

These events were HUGE for community outreach and fellowship amongst our Trinity family, and we look forward to the upcoming events this year!

Thank you for all your patience, support, and enthusiasm regarding all forms of communication here at Trinity! Communicating effectively is perhaps the most important of all life skills, and it enables us to pass information to other people and understand what is said to us. We are constantly striving to improve and adapt our communication outlets to fit the needs of our Trinity family best.

Thank you again!

New Beginning Ahead
"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens" – Ecclesiastes 3:1

We are excited to announce a new beginning at Trinity UMC starting on Pentecost, June 5th, 2022! At the May 3rd Church Council meeting, the Council approved the transition of our 8:30 a.m. Traditional Worship Service to become an 8:45 a.m. Holy Communion Worship Service.

During this new worship service, we will offer Holy Communion every Sunday. This Service will be a means for our current members to experience Christ's grace, and it will also create another entry point for new people to attend Trinity. During this Service, we plan to foster an intimate and relaxed atmosphere that will encourage prayer.

What will the Holy Communion Worship Service look like?
The 8:45 a.m. Holy Communion Worship Service will include singing, scripture reading, a message from the pastor, holy communion, and prayer. Music will be included in this new Service in some form. In the weeks and months ahead, with the Holy Spirits' help, we will adjust as needed to provide the best worship experience possible.

When will this change occur?
This new beginning at Trinity UMC will start on Pentecost, June 5th, 2022. From now until then we will continue with the services as regularly scheduled.

We understand that change can be difficult; it can even be scary. However, change can also lead to exciting opportunities to spread the love of Christ and to make disciples. Our visioning team has prayed long and hard and put much thought into making this transition. We believe that God will bless it, and we hope that you'll continue to be a part of our Trinity family as we work together to further the kingdom of God.

Please get in touch with the church office (850-862-4169) or email if you have any questions.

Thank you,

The Visioning Team

Summer Kick-Off Party
Our Summer kickoff party will be at Hayden & Martha Rylee’s house in Mary Esther. We will meet at Trinity at 6 pm to ride over on the bus. Students will need to bring a towel and an appropriate swimsuit. We’ll swim in the Sound & pool, play some games, eat some food, and have a ton of fun! We’ll be back at the church by 9 pm for pick up.

Pentecost Sunday
We encourage everyone to wear red on Pentecost Sunday, June 5 at all services to celebrate the birthday of the Church.
Spend the Summer in Israel!
Unfortunately, we don't mean literally. Spend this summer on a virtual tour of Israel!

See the beautiful, historic land of Israel.
We will visit a site highlighted in the Bible each week, starting with Genesis. Hear an excellent Bible teacher and many of the best tour guides in Israel share the history of these famous sites.

In February 2020, the virtual tour was filmed, and the team directing it was literally on the last plane out of Israel before the shutdown. So you will be able to ‘visit’ some places in Israel that are not available now.

All summer, Saturdays at 1 pm in room C102, starting June 11th.

Each week will be a 1-hour video session with some discussion afterward if we desire it.
Drop in’s welcome! No homework, no studying, just enjoy!
Volunteers Needed!
Dear Men and Women of Trinity,

MaKenzie Johnson, our communications administrator, will be taking maternity leave soon. The office needs your help to answer the phone and greet people during her absence. June - August are the months, and the days are Wednesday or Thursday, from 9-12 or 12-3.

Call me if you are interested.  850-729-8027.
Thank you, and God Bless!
