Autumn Equinox Greetings, Beloved!
As the leaves turn into a kaleidoscope of reds, oranges, greens, yellows and the last deep sighs of summer breeze through, we are offered gifts of harvest, transformation, and reflection.
Through effort and intentional relating, soils were observed and nurtured, seeds of possibility planted in environments conducive to their thriving, and growth extended an abundance of nourishment.
How has our kinship to land and community been seeded, tended to, and shared in ways that nourish and sustain us?
Can we sit together and behold how our inner and outer landscapes have transformed, grown, and blossomed, making space for what unfurls next?
As we deepen into cooler nights, shorter days, and slower paces, may we gather our harvests and each other as we prepare a warm, fortifying place to receive what lies ahead.

| | After years of dreaming, resourcing, and designing, we are about to break ground on our major barn renovation project. A barn that has seen so many people on the land, housed a variety of animals from baby chickens to cows to horses for 250 years will be born anew. | |
We are breaking ground on a new barn complex that will serve our community for the next 250 years. We look forward to welcoming you into our new barn for gatherings of all kinds, to taste amazing sauces, soups, and more from our commercial kitchen, and to see mushrooms of all kinds growing in our Mushroom Grow Room.
We are so thankful to amazing partners, contractors, and connectors who have got us to this point with a special shout out to Sean Ritchey, who is our Project Manager for the construction project and Churchill Building Company who will be leading the team building the barn of our dreams.

As we prepare to break ground to renovate our historic barn, WILDSEED Community Farm & Healing Village is undergoing a massive transformation. We continue to center the land and spirit to guide, ground and protect us as we navigate unknown waters.
In August we gathered in ritual with one another and held sacred space to call in those near and dear to us, whose shoulders we stand on, whose voices whisper in our ears to give us clarity. We felt the grass beneath our feet and made offerings of gratitude to all that is about to emerge. We asked for our hopes and desires to be amplified and gave our blessings by offering flowers at the site.
It is no small act to break ground, separate the soil, disrupt mycelial networks - and like pruning of plants, we recognize the wisdom in particular kinds of rupture that ushers in new growth and deeper roots. The land holds us all.

Move Money. Grow Worlds.
A Reparative Capital Learning + Resource Exchange
October 6 | 12–2 PM ET | Virtual
| |
The world around us is fraying—and at the same time, new worlds are taking root.
On October 6, we’re gathering an extraordinary circle to explore a simple but powerful question: What becomes possible when we put our resources behind the future we want to live in?
We’ll be joined by:
-
Jessica Norwood, financial activist, Founder + CEO of RUNWAY ROOTS and author of Believe-in-You Money
-
Veronica Garcia, resource mobilizer and Lead Organizer with the Wealth Reclamation Academy of Practitioners
-
Elspeth Gilmore, artist, donor organizer, and co-creator of the Trust Web, whose practice explores redistribution, trust, and shared power
And our beloved Naima Penniman will open and hold us through poetry and creative grounding, bringing us back to land, relationship, spirit, and the living world.
Members of Webatuck Valley Farm Collaborative will be in dialogue with one another and with the community we are building, sharing what it looks like to practice these possibilities on the ground. Come with your visions. Come with your questions. Come ready to move resources, deepen relationships, and grow with us.
We’re raising $15 million. Nearly $6 million has already taken root. This is an exciting moment to help us grow community-stewarded infrastructure for food sovereignty, land justice, farmer viability, cultural life, healing, and greater economic self-determination.
Construction is underway. We are ready to grow what comes next with you!

UPCOMING - Roots of Abundance - Konbit Day
We hope you are able to join us for our Roots of Abundance Konbit Day on Saturday, September 26th where you’ll have an opportunity to harvest the fruit of the bounty of our food forest and take home produce from other local farms.
Our Konbit Days are inspired by the Haitian Creole tradition of mutual aid. These gatherings annually bring together over 100 BIPOC, immigrant, and working-class community members annually to plant, harvest, weed, eat and build together in a spirit of collective care and shared labor.
This family-friendly gathering is an opportunity to connect with the land, one another, and the abundance of the season
The day will explore regenerative farming practices, herbal creations, tea tastings, hands–on learning, and an introduction to Wildseed’s Learning Grove.
Come ready to learn, create, nourish and celebrate together.
Space is limited for this event. Please use this registration link to secure your spot.

Take a moment to breathe with us and draw on this breathing technique whenever your nervous system needs a moment to settle and reorient:
Box Breathing Technique
Box breathing is intentional counting and holding of the breath.
- Breathe in slowly and deeply feeling your belly expand for a count of 4
-
Once your body is full of air you hold at the top of your inhale for the same count of 4
-
Exhale slowly for a count of 4 then hold for a count of 4 at the bottom of your exhale
- Repeat that cycle
Our breath is the vital pathway in which our life force flows.
It is our embodiment of interdependence, it is the space where life unfolds, it is the regulator of our internal worlds.
It is crucial to our very existence, and yet it is often a resource and teacher we overlook and take for granted.
Creating space to breathe intentionally with awareness can have a significant impact on our lived experiences and moments.
Specifically, when we are experiencing moments of stress, anxiety, fear, uncertainty, nervousness, self-doubt, we can turn our focus to our breathing to assist us with navigating through those moments with deeper awareness and clarity.
Intentional breathing reduces stress, anxiety, and depression and elevates clarity, peace, acceptance, focus, and awareness in addition to providing more oxygen to the brain which assists with thinking more clearly and calming your nervous system.
May this emerging Autumn season bring with it clarity, grounding, and tenderness.
