Hello Trinity,

It's hard to believe that Our Daily Bread Ministry has been helping those in need in our community for OVER 15 years. In March, we wrapped up serving over 11,000 meals! This was possible only by the generosity of YOU, the Trinity UMC congregation, and our friends in the community, including Destin Harvest, Panera Bread, Sharing & Caring in Niceville, the Niceville Catholic Outreach, and the Bunny bread store in Fort Walton.

We have over 50 volunteers who faithfully and tirelessly serve in this ministry. Many come from the Trinity congregation; however, we have several from other churches and organizations. One of the longest-serving groups is from St. Peter's Catholic Church, and our newest group is the Korean First Pres. Church.

We are currently in the Sack Lunches phase of our ministry. We will continue to feed approximately 60 people daily, Monday thru Friday, and our needs will continue. If you would like to make a monetary donation or any of the following items

  • Bottled Water
  • Individual Bags of Chips
  • Lunch Meat
  • Sliced Cheese

Please drop them off at the kitchen Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Stop by and see us! Sit and chat with a nice cup of coffee or a glass of lemonade. You could even sign up to volunteer when we begin the Hot Meals again in October. We have truly been blessed at Trinity. Come and be a blessing to those in need, and you, too, will be blessed!

Thank you!

IMPACT GROUPS

Books & Beyond May Book

For the month of MAY, the group will be reading "From Scratch" by Tembi Locke. The group will meet on Thursday, May 25 for discussion at 6:00 p.m. at Burrito Del Sol. Below is a synopsis of the book.

From Scratch chronicles three summers Tembi spends in Sicily with her daughter, Zoela, as she begins to piece together a life without her husband in his tiny hometown hamlet of farmers. Where once Tembi was estranged from Saro’s family, now she finds solace and nourishment—literally and spiritually—at her mother-in-law’s table. In the Sicilian countryside, she discovers the healing gifts of simple fresh food, the embrace of a close-knit community, and timeless traditions and wisdom that light a path forward. All along the way, she reflects on her and Saro’s romance—an incredible love story that leaps off the pages.

The OAKS

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17th, at 11:00. We will do a potluck lunch, update our information for hurricane season, and play Bunco. We will plan to start eating right at 11 and have Barry Ratcliffe speak to us for a few minutes.

Emmaus Meeting

The next Emmaus meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 18, at 6:00 p.m. in the Memorial Fellowship Hall.

Student Ministry

Hey Trinity,

It is almost the end of the school year! Can you believe it? There is a lot going on with Trinity Student Ministry over the next few months. Here are a few of the upcoming things:

Mother's Day - NO YOUTH

We will not meet this Sunday, May 14. It is Mother's Day. We encourage you to spend time with that special woman in your life!

Seniors Speak - May 17

Wednesday, May 17, is Seniors Speak. Our senior class will be sharing their wisdom with you on how they made it through high school, the memories they will always cherish, and their plans for the future. Senior Sunday is May 21. Please attend the 9:45 service to show support for our TSM Senior Class.

Graduation Sunday - May 21

A few moments count as milestones in life, significant moments in a person’s life that turn the page to a new chapter. High school graduation is one of them.

Join us Sunday, May 21, at the 9:45 service to celebrate our @tsmfwb graduating Seniors as they prepare to embark on the next chapter in life!

Neon Nights Worship Night - May 21

The evening of May 21 is our monthly worship night! The theme this month is NEON NIGHTS. We are prepping for summer and going into the best way we know how; worshipping God together! Caroline Hare will be our speaker that night. You don't want to miss it!

Memorial Day Weekend

We will not meet over Memorial Day weekend. Our boy's trip leaves Saturday, May 27 for Orlando and will return Sunday night around 7:30 p.m. As for everyone else, we hope that you will spend time with your families on the first weekend of summer! We will be back together for our first Destination Bible Study on May 31, 5:30 pm-8:30 pm. Be sure to bring money for Uptown Station dinner!

If you're interested in supporting our Trinity Student Ministry, donations can be made to the Jan Griffith Youth Participation Fund. This fund serves as scholarships for students to attend trips, including Oakwood.
