Trinity Trumpeter | January 3, 2025 | |
Happy New Year, Trinity!
This Sunday, we will celebrate the last Sunday of the Christmas Season with Epiphany Sunday! The Wise Men will come from the East bearing gifts for Christ and worship him, and it is a clear sign from God that salvation offered to us by Jesus is not meant only for a few people but for all people. Our community is a mission field for God and God is calling us to share with others the salvation being offered to them from Emmanuel, God with us. God has blessed us abundantly in 2024, we have grown in membership, worship attendance, baptisms, finances, our church has answered the call to minister to all that walk through its doors, we have served our community and we have prepared our church to do even more ministry in 2025.
2025 is the year of Jubilee! Jubilee is a time to trust in God, forgive others and deepen our relationship with each other. Leviticus 25 commanded that every 50 years would be a year of Jubilee for the Israelites, it would be a time to let the crops rest and know that God had provided all they needed, it would be a time of releasing those with debts from their debts and restoring property to those that had been taken away from them. It was a time of celebration and God has called Trinity into a year of jubilee! 2025 will be a year of celebration, a year of trust and a year of sharing God's mercy with our community. It is a call for a personal jubilee in our own lives and a jubilee as a church community.
I pray that Jubilee takes hold of your heart and that the presence of God gives all of us the courage to follow where God is leading us as individuals and as a church.
God Bless! See you in 2025!
Rev. Christina Shaver

Wednesday Night Small Group
Beginning January 8
Midweek Studies are back beginning Wednesday, January 8! Doors open at 5 p.m. and we will begin our study, "What is a Christian" with Francis Chan. Ask any group what it means to be a Christian, and we will hear different answers. But what unifies us? What are the basic characteristics of our faith that every Christian affirms? In this six-session series, Francis Chan will lead us in an exploration of key concepts common to all Christians through the centuries. No matter what divides us, we are united by these truths about the God we worship and our relationship with him.
