Hello Trinity,

In June 2022, the Trustees began working on a solution to resolve the stormwater drainage issue in the breezeway between building A&B and C. We are excited to announce that the District Board of Missions & Church Development blessed the project with a $25,000 grant, and the remaining financial support came from the TUMC Preschool, Imagine Campaign, and Finance & Trustee Committee funds that were not previously allocated to another project. Phase 1 of the breezeway renovation project is fully funded and will begin construction on June 5, starting with the removal of the Breezeway A/C units for Building C; it is important to note that the A/C units on youth/library side of Building C (Memorial Fellowship Hall) will not be operational during this time period. Excavation is set to begin on June 6. Given good weather, Phase 1 should be completed by June 13 and includes two full-length trench drains, at least two catch basins, and concrete from building to building and gate to gate. Upon completion of the concrete pour, the A/C units will be reinstalled, charged, and turned back on.

Phase 2 of this project is to create a multi-functional space for all ages to relax and fellowship and create a safer and cleaner environment for the preschoolers to play. Phase 2 is still in development, and we welcome all thoughts and ideas. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to any Trustee member. Once we've formulated a plan for Phase 2, we will host a fundraising event to present the plan for Phase 2.

We are excited to move the breezeway forward with phase 1 and resolve the long-standing drainage issue. Thank you in advance for your support and your patience! We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have a scheduled event, Sunday school class, or meeting that you wish to relocate to during this time, please get in touch with MaKenzie Johnson in the church office.

God Bless,

Mike Klugh

WE REMEMBER

Be on your guard: stand firm in the faith: be men of courage: be strong. – 1 Corinthians 16:13

Monday is Memorial Day. Although offices and businesses are closed, and the world keeps moving, we want to stop and remember. On this Memorial Day, we want to take a moment to honor and pay tribute to the extraordinary men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. When called upon to defend and liberate, they said yes. Their selflessness and courage will never be forgotten, and we are forever grateful for their service. May we always remember their sacrifice and continue to strive for a better future in their honor.

Thank you to all the fallen heroes, and may they rest in peace.
