Dave Toole, the founder and CEO of Outhink Media, is a highly recognized expert in supply chain, digital media, and video technologies, as well as a remarkable ally to organizations and individuals striving for growth and transformation. Renowned for his ability to foster collaboration and empowerment, Dave has a proven track record of enabling innovative digital transformations across public companies, private enterprises, and social impact initiatives.
What is your personal story?
I run an Emerging AI Venture Studio, focusing on the next generation of communications and adopting new ways of learning in the age of AI. My journey began with building over 200 advanced semiconductor factories while leading a global public company. This experience taught me the value of inclusivity, which played a crucial role in driving solid growth.
I co-developed a 20-year computing vision with Intel, that led to the launch of the first cloud platforms for decentralized computing. This pivotal experience shaped my understanding of the future of technology and learning.
Continuing my passion for innovation, I launched several AI-driven platforms, including an AI-guided learning platform and an AI-guided video storytelling platform. These platforms aim to revolutionize how we learn and share stories in an increasingly digital world.
Most recently, I founded an AI Venture Studio platform to further advance cycles of learning and development in the AI domain. My work is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technology to create inclusive, innovative, and sustainable solutions for the future.
Why is being an ally a core value and how have you been an ally?
We all need encouragement as we travel through our journey. Having an ally to help us surface our voice is critical. In business the workforce brings 10% of their learning when they start, typically 20% is trained by the organization leaving 70% that we learn from each other as we are doing our jobs. Being an ally helps to bring inclusive learning during this pathway. Doing this in context creates new ways of learning through storytelling. Unleashing our creative side while advancing the needs of an organization.
What suggestions do you have for men who want to be better allies?
Find small steps smartly made that encourage building confidence. Learning the power of storytelling to improve how one communicates and increase impact is becoming more natural with the emerging generation.
What is the highest goal you have as an ally leader and role model?
Starting a movement of empowerment to build and guide confidence in the emerging generation. Help bridge the education and workforce needs to accelerate the awareness of where and how to apply your passion and skills to learn the most competitive capabilities for personal and organizational sustainability. Share others success stories and best practices in communities of interest. Create a movement helping be an ally to GenZ in emerging their voice in rebuilding the middle class in the 2030’s.
