Principal's Message
This semester is flying by quickly! It is hard to believe that Spring Break is right around the corner and testing mode is almost upon us.
Next
Friday, March 29
, GCPS
will observe a student/teacher holiday, and then
GCPS will observe Spring Break beginning Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5.
Spring Break can be a good time to catch up on course work. Make sure to check in your courses and GCPS email to see if there are opportunities for specific assignments.
We hope to see all of our students on campus for the Spring Dance on
Friday, March 22 (grades 4-7) and
Saturday, March 23 (grades 8-12).

Grades 9-12: Gateway Main Administration
The Gateway assessment is a GCPS graduation requirement and will take place on campus the following days:
Science Gateway
Monday, March 25 from 8-11:30 a.m.
Social Studies Gateway
Tuesday, March 26 from 8-11:30 a.m.
Students can access review materials in their homeroom by selecting the Gateway Module. Only qualified students are eligible to test.

Grades 9-12: Fall 2019 Schedules
Parents, by now, you should have received a copy of your student's schedule for next school year in the mail. Please keep in mind that if your student is participating in Dual Enrollment, they must have a full schedule at GOC until they provide a copy of their college schedule to the counseling office. A copy of the college schedule is due no later than August 2, 2019.
If you are in agreement with the schedule, no additional action is needed.

If you would like to make any changes to the courses listed, mark through the course listed on the schedule and write the newly selected course at the bottom of the page. You can mail or drop off this form at the front desk by April 18, 2019. No schedule changes will be made after this date unless a student has earned credit for a course during summer school.

Students in grades 4-7 are cordially invited to attend GOC's Glow it Up Dance on
Friday,
March 22 from 1-3 p.m.
Come enjoy music, food, a light up dance floor, photo booth, student superlatives and lots more! If you wish
to bring an outside guest, please register and pay for the guest on MyPaymentsPlus and if you have missed the the deadline to pay on MPP, we will accept cash payment at the door.

Grades 8-12
Students in grades 8-12 are cordially invited to attend GOC's Light Up the Night Dance on
Saturday, March 23 from 7-10 p.m.
Come enjoy a live DJ, food, light up dance floor,

Rising Grades 6-9: Maxwell Summer Camp
All rising 6-9 grade GCPS students are invited to explore careers at Maxwell High School of Technology during the 2019 Summer Camp which is scheduled for May 28 - May 31 from 8 a.m.-Noon.
