The 2026 Solheim Cup takes place September 10-13, 2026 at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, Netherlands, bringing together the top women golfers from the United States and Europe for one of the most spirited match-play events in professional golf.

Later in the month, the 2026 Presidents Cup brings the spotlight straight to the Chicago area at Medinah Country Club, September 24-27, 2026. Golf excitement has been building all summer, and now the countdown is on!

The stage is set for the United States Team to battle the International Team in a thrilling world-class match-play showdown—giving local golf fans a rare chance to feel the energy, drama, and pride of championship golf close to home.

Wyndham Clark won the 2026 BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club, earning a three-stroke victory over Patrick Cantlay and moving from seventh to third in the U.S. Presidents Cup points standings. With the win, Clark secured one of the six automatic qualifying spots for the U.S. Team heading to Medinah Country Club near Chicago.

U.S. Team Captain Brandt Snedeker now knows the first six players on his 12-man roster as the United States looks to retain the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, September 24-27. The BMW Championship was the final qualifying event for the U.S. Presidents Cup team, and Snedeker will make six captain’s picks following the Tour Championship.

Current automatic qualifiers for the U.S. Team include Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Wyndham Clark, Sam Burns, Russell Henley and Collin Morikawa. Home of Will County’s “Amen Corner,” The Sanctuary Golf Course in New Lenox is hosting its Annual Golf & Fishing Derby on Sunday, September 27, 2026. Registration opens Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 6:00 AM, and space is limited to the first 68 paid teams—so be ready to sign up early! The entry fee is $110 per team and includes golf with cart, range, a tee gift, fishing, dinner, and prizes. Teams will play a two-person scramble with two divisions: Adult-Adult and Adult-Junior.

The event begins with registration at 7:30 AM, followed by a 9:00 AM shotgun start. Fishing begins at 12:00 PM, with food and prizes at 2:00 PM. Scoring combines golf and fishing: scramble score minus the length of the longest fish caught equals the team’s net score.
