3rd annual GivingTuesday campus collection drive.


This year is extra special as it coincides with the campus tree lighting festivities!

  • Office of Career Development is collecting gently used, washed/dried career clothes for their Cougar Closet, supporting CSU students preparing for job and internship interviews.
  • Department of Student Activities is collecting canned and non-perishable food items AND dorm-appropriate foods such as single serve cereal boxes, chips, crackers, granola and breakfast bars, can openers, for their Cougar Pantry.
  • The Honors College is collecting socks, hats and gloves for the Alden Wentworth Nursing Home.
  • Master of Social Work Program is collecting cash gifts supporting their MSW Alumni Fund, which supports MSW alumni on their career journeys.
  • CSU's Chapter of the National Council of Negro Women is collecting coats, gloves, hats and socks for Margaret's Village Shelter, supporting transitional families.
  • The Office of Global Engagement is collecting children's school supplies of all kinds (crayons, scissors, paper, coloring books, pencils and sharpeners, notebooks, puzzles) for The Haitian Connection, supporting children in Haiti.
  • The Student Athletic Advisory Committee is collecting spare change for the Jay Fund for childhood cancer. This is a student competition with other schools. 
  • CSU's Chapter of the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc is collecting toiletries and school supplies for the RAN Organization.
  • College of Health Sciences and Pharmacy is collecting hoodies/sweatshirts for K-8th graders (appropriate uplifting language only, if any) and $10 Target gift cards for the Barbara W. Smith Center serving nearly 200 area children.
  • Call Me Mister and Diverse Scholars is collecting used or new coats and new (only) underwear for Harvard Elementary School.
  • Chicago State Foundation is in need of employee support for CSU scholarships through payroll deduction. Forms will be available, and we are also selling Alumni t-shirts to support this effort through alumni engagement programs.
