Your gift helps the music play on.
IPO Conductor Candidate Maestro Alastair Willis worked with Sandburg High School
orchestra members as part of the IPO's ongoing Meet the Maestro music education initiative.
On November 17, 2016, IPO Conductor Candidate Alastair Willis led a Meet the Maestro clinic with Sandburg High School orchestra students.

"I love your preparation. I love your poise. I love your energy," he told the students. " Now I think it's about confidence." And the music played on...

So how much did the students' confidence grow by working with a world class conductor? We'd like Sandburg junior and orchestra member Maris Madderom to tell you:

"It was so eye opening. He was so down to earth .. .(he) gave us feedback that we could understand and use right away," Madderom said of her recent Meet the Maestro experience.

"(It was) really empowering...(it) made us feel really important and that we really are the future!" she added.

Your financial gifts to the IPO not only  ensure the continuation of the orchestra but also help  develop the next generation of orchestra patrons . Indeed, it is hard to determine which of these purposes is more important to the continued existence of classical music.

However, your support means we are able to achieve both of these incredibly important goals...together! And for that we thank you.
