Celebrating Over 30 Years of Professional Meeting & Association Management
January 2022 news & updates
"Good-bye 2021"
Like many of you, I look for inspiration wherever I can find it. I ran across a quote recently by Lil NasX, the rap singer, talking about 2022:

He was asked, “So what is next?"
Lil NasX replied, "I have no idea, but it is going to be incredible.”

I think this is the new approach we have to adopt for 2022. With all the struggles and challenges that we overcame with the pandemic these last two years, we know that we were resilient, and we survived. The hospitality industry and business in general will be forever changed. We have Zoom to thank for that! Years from now the younger generation will say “How did you ever communicate without seeing people face to face?” Just as they now say “How did you ever get work done without a computer?” LOL Yep… Zoom is here to stay.

Speaking of Zoom….have you seen this skit on post-Zoom meetings back in the office? One thing that has gotten us through the last two years of this pandemic has been our camaraderie and humor. This new year will not be different. With some of us now slowly returning at least on a part-time basis to the corporate office, I thought you would enjoy this skit, "Back to the Office: When Meetings are No Longer Virtual" by Foil Arms & Hogs. Our former Zoom workstyles may come back to haunt us. Enjoy!

Did you know that in 2021…along with hundreds of other people, I adopted a rescue dog.
She is an adorable Bichon Frise, all of 12 pounds, and her name is "Betty White." Yes, last summer I named her in honor of the great actress who was an animal rescue advocate with her big eyes and fluffy white hair. The name just seemed to fit her...If you are also a fan of Betty White, here is a video of the "Top 20 Betty White Moments."

Attention meeting planners…Get braced for Metaverse. Here is an interesting article about what our future meetings might include: When Do You Need to Start Thinking about the Metaverse? | SM.com (smartmeetings.com)

Happy New Year! Hope to see you at the January 26th Meet Up. (Please see details below.)
