Congratulations Gingerly Quilt Co. on Earning Another Grant!
Eva Saunders, founder of Gingerly Quilt Co., has turned her passion for quilting into a successful business. A freelance graphic designer and fabric artist, Eva rediscovered her love for sewing in 2020 while making masks for hospital staff. Inspired by her grandmother’s teachings and her love for design, she launched her modern quilt pattern business, drawing inspiration from everything around her, from her cat Bobby to the geometric patterns in nature.
Eva's determination and hard work have driven her success, and she has found valuable support through the Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CV SBDC). After moving and starting her business, Eva participated in the CV SBDC's Piedmont Pitch Competition, where she won a grant that helped her refine her business plan, marketing strategy, and more. The guidance she received from CV SBDC advisors complemented her vision and helped her take advantage of new opportunities, including securing a second grant—the "Creative Business Boost Initiative"—from HelloAlice, GEN, and the Etsy Uplift Fund.
Eva is excited to expand her business even further and will soon be offering art quilting classes. Stay connected with her journey and upcoming classes by following her on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok, @GingerlyQuiltCo!
