We will begin our Green Career Momentum series tomorrow (4/19) with our first session.  Hear Cheryl Bedard, Principal, The McCormick Group, who specializes in placing Business Development Managers in the energy industry.  Learn about working with external recruiters vs. internal ones.  We will also conduct an experiential activity focused on Creating Your Search Strategy.  NOTE: We will meet in Room 200, Second floor.

There are a number of great spring green events coming up.  

O ur third Circular Economy Working Group  will be held on Wednesday, April 18th .   We will kick off our new  Green Career Momentum series  on Thursday, April 19th.   We will also be an exhibitor and serve on a panel discussing "Alternative/Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Carbon Offsets" at the  Northern Virginia Community College Green Festival  on Thursday, April 26th.

The Circular Economy (CE) Working Group met at the Made in DC store last month. Thanks to those who attended and for sharing your thoughts.  We heard from Amy Bachman, Director of Procurement and Sustainability, at DC Central Kitchen about their gleaning (harvesting produce that would otherwise go to waste) and other activities.  Working group member, Gaby Seltzer, provided us with a circular economy discussion topic for us to work on for our April 18th meeting.  See further details here.

GREEN CAREER MOMENTUM PROGRAM
 (April 19 - June 21) 


Are you at a crossroads as you consider your next career move in the Green Economy?  Have you been inspired by Leaders in Energy members and speakers working in green jobs whom you've met at our events?  Is this your year to land the Green Job you've been dreaming about?

Green Career Momentum (GCM) is an ongoing career development program and job network for those seeking new jobs and related opportunities.   The program will feature speakers who are working in the green career arena, career coaches, recruiters, etc.  We will also conduct experiential exercises to help people gain insights into their job search and collaborate with one another.  The program is tailored to assist job seekers at all levels and provide a supportive environment.

She has also recruited experienced business developers to lead companies into expanded markets for distributed generation, CHP, microgrid, and solar projects.

We will also conduct an experiential activity focused on Creating Your Search Strategy.
