. For the next 737 consecutive days, I published one every day. Now there are close to 1,000. A few weeks ago, I began a new generation of blogs and will probably publish about two/week. Here is #5:
BSB #5 -- Green Light for Our Health and Our Planet
In the 14 years that I have been studying the global feeding model, I have evolved from health advocate to sustainability activist--when it comes to our food choices.
Nowadays, I explain it this way, "The single best thing that you can do for the planet is eat only foods that are made from plants. The benefits to our ecosystem are ENORMOUS."
As for your health, "If you want to enjoy vibrant health for the rest of your life, make sure that most of your plant-based foods are whole and unrefined--still in nature's package."
In order to help you nurture your body and our planet, we created the 4Leaf Survey that you can take online at 4leafsurvey.com. Today I added a simple traffic light scale:
GREEN. If you scored at the 3Leaf or 4Leaf level, you are eating a superior diet and are in the "green" zone.
YELLOW. If you scored at the 1Leaf or 2Leaf level, you are eating a fairly healthy diet--far better than the typical western diet and are in the "yellow" zone.
RED. If you scored less than 1Leaf, the good news is that you have a great opportunity to improve your health.
