Crossville®: 40 Years of Advancing Porcelain Tile Performance, Design, & Sustainability

Engineered for Demanding Environments

For 40 years, Crossville® has focused on advancing what porcelain tile can do. Innovation has remained a constant driver, spanning engineered performance, tactile surfaces, realistic visuals, and more sustainable manufacturing practices.

In demanding environments such as commercial kitchens and high-traffic public spaces, Cross-Colors Mingles porcelain tile with Cross-Tread® (below) delivers enhanced traction in wet and greasy conditions and is an excellent quarry tile alternative for back-of-house. Cross-Colors Mingles with our proprietary Cross-Slate® finish offers another traction-focused option, combining the visual character of natural slate with the strength and consistency of through-body porcelain.

Surface Innovation and Realism

Crossville’s proprietary FeatherSoft™ technology (below) introduces a soft, touchable surface, while Visual Touch™ synchronizes texture with graphic design to create highly realistic representations of natural materials.

Sustainable Manufacturing

Crossville is exploring ways to actively reduce carbon emissions from the manufacture of its tile products. In addition, Crossville now offers seven carbon-neutral porcelain tile collections. Our recycling programs allow unfired and fired materials to be reincorporated into first-grade porcelain tile products, while water recirculation processes help minimize resource consumption.

Together, these advancements reflect Crossville’s comprehensive approach to innovation that supports performance, design, and long-term sustainability.
