Coat Drive

We're still taking donations of good used coats with one week remaining to the drive. October 19th is the last day to drop them off here at church.

Please bring your donations on Sunday the 18th, Monday the 19th during food pickup time, or email Pastor Jill to set up a time to drop them off.

Thank you for supporting your neighbors as the temperatures begin to drop!

Items for the Coat Drive should be gently used winter gear, including coats, hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, boots, snow pants, and blankets.

Anything Pumpkin!

The Sheffield Fall Festival is this Saturday, October 17th from 3-9pm on the Town Green!

One of the festivities will be a fall-themed Cook-off & Bake-off. The only rule is: anything pumpkin!

Do you have a favorite pumpkin recipe? Show off your chef skills and you might win a prize! Download the entry form here.

There will also be a Costume Parade, a Jack-o-Lantern contest (bring your pre-carved jack-o-lantern to drop off in the morning) and tons of fun all day and into the night! To read more about the Fall Festival activities and schedule, click here.

Our church will be hosting music during the Festival, and Rania Markham and Families Like Ours will offer Accessibility for All Abilities in our parking lot and a Sensory-Friendly space in the Christian Ed room.

If you have questions or would like to get involved, please email Rachel at office.sberkchamber@gmail.com

Documentary Screening

On Saturday, October 24 at 2pm, Bushnell-Sage Library will present a screening of Lightworkers.

Lightworkers is a feature documentary directed by Bobby Roth that brings together a diverse group of individuals who have taken action in the face of social, political, and environmental challenges. Through a series of personal, interview-driven stories, the film explores how individuals contribute to the strength and resilience of democratic society.

No registration necessary. Find out more about the documentary and the event here.

Steeple Lighting

The Steeple is lit for the month of October by the Larkin family in celebration of Jim and Margie's 60th wedding anniversary.

Future Steeple Lighting Sponsorships are available starting in 2027.

It is a lovely way to honor a friend, an occasion, a memory or loved one.

Thank you for your generosity in giving toward the ministries of this church. Love flows because of you!
