Happy May from Cheat A Little Catering
|
|
Dear Friend,
Although we’ve all been through a great deal during this very challenging time, we do have a lot to celebrate.
Happy Cinco de Mayo to all those commemorating the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862. Mother’s are honored this week, whether a birth mother or one held in high regard as “mother,” the role of nurturer and keeper of the family.
Many days within the month of May are also recognized. Yesterday was Star Wars Day … “May The Fourth Be With You.” And, let’s not forget our military service men and women, as we honor them on Memorial Day.
Many foods are highlighted this month as well, including chocolate custard, raspberry pop-over, crepes and hoagies.
As we think of all the reasons to celebrate, we think mostly of you, our faithful clients and friends. Celebrate each other, and enjoy the month of May!
Many thanks,
Brian Morriss

We want to send a special THANK YOU to all the mother’s this year.
For those of you in need of a meal plan for mom this Sunday, there is still time to order a delicious Mother’s Day Brunch or Supper for convenient delivery on Saturday. Everything will be oven-ready to heat and serve, with final warming instructions.
But, you’ll need to call asap, so we have time to add your request to our product orders!

EVENT
SNAPSHOT
We’re currently booking for smaller group events. Our full-service catering includes food and beverage, serving equipment and food risers, staff service, and rentals of china and glassware, specialty linens, decor and floral arrangements to bring the theme together.
This photo is of a brunch menu for a baby shower we catered in San Mateo. The guest count was 15 people, co-ed, plus a couple of babies!
This was a memorable day, and we featured the food display on the kitchen “island” made of beautiful finished wood.
As well, our bartender made Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas to-die-for!

EARTH DAY
2020
April 22 was Earth Day … a day each year to recognize the need to keep good care of our planet and our way of living. Fifty years ago, a massive oil spill and numerous other pollutants and toxic practices triggered a “call to action.” Through the years, industries have changed practices and regulations have been implemented to improve environmental impact.
We participate in the City of Burlingame’s waste program, and our internal policies are strict regarding use of composting and recycling. We’re proud of our city’s efforts and goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 40% over the next decade.
What can you do? In honor of 50 years of Earth Day, check out the 50 actions you can take to do your part:
