NOVEMBER IS
NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

As we near the end of Native American Heritage Month, I encourage you to look for ways to broaden and deepen the native studies components of your classroom throughout the school year. One of the best ways to gain knowledge in this content area is by keeping up with indigenous news ourselves, especially here within Montana. One of the best resources I’ve found is the First Nations newsletter from Nora Mabie and the Great Falls Tribune. This week there’s a quiz in addition to the news: How well do you know the tribes in Montana? Give it a shot, and have a wonderful week of giving thanks and honoring indigenous peoples!
