"He's Never Been this Excited
About  Anything Before!"
Congratulations to all our inspiring fifth-grade students who rocked the ballroom at the Colors of the Rainbow Team Match on Sunday! Every student received a medal, and every school a trophy. You can see the Elegance and Teamwork (awesome Tango Corte!) in these Linwood Monroe Arts Plus students, of the Third Place team.

Special thanks to families and educators who braved snow to cheer their team, filling every seat in the house. Photos below tell the story-every team is a winner!

There is still time to bring Dancing Classrooms to  your school this spring! Contact emberrj@heartofdancemn.org or 612-750-1262.

"I have never seen him smile so much. He has been trying to teach everyone, including his little sister."     -Four Seasons Parent

Athlos Leadership Academy

"It's okay that we didn't win. What matters is that we had fun, we worked hard and we learned how to be better teammates. It matters that we were respectful ladies and gentlemen," said a student from Athlos after the placements were announced. His classmates all stood there and agreed with smiles on their faces, said Teaching Artist Jessica Smith.

Programming is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. We are also grateful for the support of the Emerald Foundation, F. R. Bigelow Foundation, Mardag Foundation and The Saint Paul Foundation, as well as many generous individual donors and volunteers. This activity is funded, in part, by an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature with money from the State's general fund.
