Our hearts are full this holiday season.

As this is written, there’s holiday music playing in the office, a growing collection of sweet treats in the kitchen, and the team is putting the finishing touches on a handful of festive projects to end the year.

And what a year it’s been for all of us here at Burgess. From new clients to new adventures with valued longtime clients to the adventure of setting up shop in a new office in Portland, we’re grateful for all of it. We’re especially grateful for the team here, which recognizes the importance of doing good work and having some fun while bringing that work to life.

However you’re celebrating and whoever you’re celebrating with, we wish you the happiest of holidays. Here’s to good times, good health, and more adventures as we head into 2024!

BAM Holiday Party

Of course, it wouldn’t be the holidays around here without a team outing! We recently ventured across the bridge to the new Broadway Bowl in South Portland, where everyone spent some time bowling, catching up and taking part in a gift card Yankee Swap. And, it’ll come as no surprise, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to dress festive with light-up necklaces and even a holiday suit to accompany the bowling shoes!

New Office Open House

Sticking with the theme of celebrations, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who came by for our new office open house in November. It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces – and even some new ones – at the new space to officially welcome Burgess back home to Portland! We’re thrilled with the office and pleased to have so many clients, friends and partners stopping in to check it out. If you haven’t had a chance to see it in person yet, please reach out so we can set something up in early 2024!

Burgess In The News

Did you catch a familiar face (or perhaps that familiar Burgess green logo) in the November 13, 2023 edition of Mainebiz? CEO Meredith Strang Burgess was highlighted in the publication’s On the Record conversation, which showcases Q&A-style conversations with local business owners and industry experts. Meredith talked about the changes she’s seen in the marketing sector over the past 3+ decades (hint: there have been a few!) and how Burgess is leading with unmatched digital capabilities. Thank you to Mainebiz for the opportunity to chat marketing and communications!

Our Latest Work

We’re grateful for the opportunity to share the inspiring stories of those navigating cancer journeys through our partnership with New England Cancer Specialists. Our latest work is this TV commercial showcasing the importance of genetics testing to a local family that has been significantly impacted by breast cancer. We’re proud to introduce you to the Bourgets.

And we encourage you to check out some of our other new projects from this fall here:

While we spend quality time with loved ones in the coming weeks, I’m reminded that it’s important to continue supporting our neighbors and friends who are grieving. Our thoughts remain with the Lewiston community in the wake of October’s tragedy. This season of giving, we’re pleased to share that we’ve made a small donation to the Maine Community Foundation Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund on behalf of our valued clients.
