Hello Beautiful Black Parents & Caregivers !
As a mom of a Beautiful Black Boy on the Autism Spectrum, caring for him is amazing, honorable, and challenging all at the same time. I get caught in all the stuff that I need to do for NOW and I forget that there is a FUTURE.
Black families, we are on this journey together. Be encouraged! Let’s create a vision for our families because we all deserve to be well and have ACCESS to the best so that our families can LIVE & THRIVE in HOME COMMUNITY AND SCHOOL.
Having a vision can help guide our family towards a common goal and provide a sense of purpose and direction. It can also help us to focus on our potential rather than our limitations.
Be encouraged, take some time to reflect on your family's values and priorities … that includes everyone, that means you, mom, dad and caregivers.
We are excited to invite you to a special event designed to promote unity and encouragement in Black families who have members with developmental disabilities.
Our Vision Board workshop will be a safe and supportive space for our families to come together and create a visual representation of our hopes and dreams for the future.
By working together, we can build a stronger sense of community and empower each other to overcome any obstacles that may arise.
Whether you are a caregiver, family member, or individual with a developmental disability, we welcome you to join us for this meaningful and empowering support group.
Let's come together to celebrate our strengths and create a brighter future for all.
Join US!!
At the the Parent Support Group Vision Board Party Part 1 & Part 2.
