The City continues to monitor our water quality to ensure continued compliance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Florida Department of Health and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP).

New Miramar Park and Ride Improves Access to Public Transportation    

BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Construction has begun on a new $6.7 million dollar Park and Ride lot in the City of Miramar. This state-of-the-art facility will support the I-95 Express Service to Downtown Miami and Brickell. It accommodates 442 cars (including ADA spaces), 28 oversized vehicles, and 18 buses. There will be two dedicated bus bays, six extra-large transit shelters with solar-powered lighting, and electric charging for up to 20 cars. Human Trafficking Awareness Month
You may not see it or think it happens in Broward, but it does. In fact, according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, in 2020 Florida ranked third in the U.S. in human trafficking cases behind only California and Texas. In 2018, there were 217 cases of suspected human trafficking here in Broward. If you suspect someone is being held against their will, please call 911. Victims can find help at the Nancy J. Cotterman Center, Broward’s only 24/7 Sexual Assault and Children’s Advocacy Center. All services are free and confidential.  

Library Introduces Bigger and Better eMagazine Collection
Broward County Library has transitioned its digital magazine collection from RBdigital to OverDrive (desktop/mobile app) and Libby (mobile app), providing free and convenient access to more than 3,000 titles. There’s no limit on the number of eMagazines you can borrow, A bonus feature is three years of back issues whenever possible. Visit website​.
