Florida Expands Covid-19 Vaccine Eligibility
to Age 18+ (16+ for Pfizer)
Effective April 5, all Floridians are eligible to receive any COVID-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration at age 18+ for Moderna and Johnson & Johnson, and age 16+ for Pfizer.

All sites operated by Florida Department of Health in Broward (DOH-Broward) in partnership with Broward County, BSO and municipalities offer the Pfizer vaccine. Residents under the age of 18 who wish to be vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine based on the new eligibility must be accompanied by parent or guardian, who must also sign the Vaccine Screening and Consent Form.

FEMA Announces Funeral Assistance Program
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought overwhelming grief to many families. In response, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering a funeral assistance program to help eligible families with COVID-19-related funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. Applications for assistance will be accepted beginning Monday, April 12, 2021, through FEMA's Call Center. Call 844-684-6333 (TTY 800-462-7585), from 8AM to 8PM Central Time.
