This Sunday, we celebrate the Rev. Ginny Bain Inman on the occasion of her installation as twelfth Rector of St. Andrew’s. The Rt. Rev. Anne Hodges-Copple, Bishop Suffragan for the Episcopal Diocese of North Carolina, will visit and be celebrant for this joyful service.

Join us at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary, or watch our livestream on our YouTube channel. Everyone is welcome. Masks are required for indoor worship.

The prelude will begin 10 minutes before the service. Nursery care will be provided, and we will have children’s worship programming.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Meetings Resume, Newcomers Welcome

The Sts. Agatha and Mary Chapters of ECW look forward to once again meeting in person, beginning Monday, October 11, at 7 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All women of the church are invited, whether you are a regular attendee or it is your first time. We are looking forward to seeing you so we can chat and see what has been happening in your lives.
Abundant Life Is this Tuesday, October 12

Our next date to prepare food for Abundant Life is October 12. St. Andrew’s provides food for this ministry on the second Tuesday of every month. If you would like to contribute to the food donations, please contact the Rev. Barbara Cooke at bjcooke58@gmail.com to coordinate.
Calling All Acolytes
(New and Old)!

If you are in the sixth grade or older, you are invited to serve as an acolyte worship leader. This is an important ministry in our church. Acolytes are usually scheduled once a month to help lead the liturgy. We will hold a fun and informative acolyte training and refresher on Sunday, October 17, after the 10 a.m. service until 12:15. There will be snacks. If you have questions or would like to participate in this ministry, but cannot attend the meeting, please contact Debbie Dowd at debbiedowd@mindspring.com.
We Give Thanks for Creation and Our Beloved Pets

Last Sunday was our Creation Care Celebration Sunday. The Annual Blessing of the Animals took place peaceably and many dogs and at least two guinea pigs were blessed. The next Celebration Sunday is our All Saints' observance on November 7th.

Enjoy some photos from the Animal Blessing
and look for more soon on our website!
Beware of "Staff" Emails that Don't Look Right

Please be skeptical of emails that appear to be from Rev. Ginny or other staff but ask for help in vague terms, ask for money, or otherwise seem "off." Phishing emails continue to circulate, appearing to be sent by our staff. Our office systems are being updated, which will help address the problem. In the meantime, please stay aware and delete and mark as spam any suspicious messages.
Need a Hymnal or Prayer Book?

If you would like to borrow a copy of the Book of Common Prayer or the hymnal to use during Sunday worship at home, please let us know. We will be happy to deliver books to you, or to have one ready for you at church to pick up. Please contact Susan at parish@standrewsgso.org or by phone.
Deck the Halls Is Dec. 4

Save the date! Deck the Halls is returning to St. Andrew's on Saturday December 4, 2021. There will be lots of familiar faces and activities as we come together to "Share the Love." In the coming weeks you can learn more about the festivities—some old favorites and new additions. Keeping COVID always in mind, this will be a year of challenges. Please contact Lynda Sanecki lsanecki894@gmail.com) or Virginia Haskett (vbhaskett@yahoo.com) to learn more.
