Join Us for Worship
This Sunday at 10,
In-Person and Online

Our second Celebration Sunday of the fall is this Sunday, October 3. We will honor creation care in our 10 a.m. worship, and will bless our animals that afternoon (more below). Everyone is welcome. Masks are required for all in attendance, and we continue to offer our worship online with a livestream of Sunday’s service.
Blessing of the Animals This Sunday

All people and pets are invited to the annual Blessing of the Animals this Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Join us as we share God's love with the pets that have loved us through these many months of COVID.

We will walk our pets from the Kensington St. parking lot, down the church's sidewalk, and finally to the front lawn, where Rev. Ginny will offer a prayer for the occasion and then individually bless our animal companions. Masks are required and we will maintain social distance.

To keep the event peaceful, all pets must be leashed or in a carrier. So, bring your four-legged companions in honor of St. Francis, so they can be blessed as they are a blessing to us. For more information, please contact Pat Stultz at 336-257-8420 or patnjoes@gmail.com.
EYC Has Kicked Off the Year

We had a wonderful EYC (Episcopal Youth Fellowship) Kick-Off this past Sunday for a fun night of food, games, and fellowship. Parents gathered for the last 30 minutes for an overview of the year ahead. There is much to look forward to! The next EYC event is October 17, and all middle and high schoolers are invited.

Please see the EYC calendar below. Note that the Gathering planned for October 2nd is being rescheduled to later in the fall
stay tuned!

Email Glitch!

We have been updating some office systems and realize that we have not had access to some of our email messages in the process. While we work this out, if you are waiting on a reply from us or think an email message from you to Rev. Ginny, Ray Marsh, or Susan Frye has been missed, please resend your message. We want to reply to you! Email addresses have not changed, so please use the address you have used previously. Thank you for your patience and your help.
Need a Hymnal or Prayer Book?

If you would like to borrow a copy of the Book of Common Prayer or the hymnal to use during Sunday worship at home, please let us know. We will be happy to deliver books to you, or to have one ready for you at church to pick up. Please contact Susan at parish@standrewsgso.org or by phone.
Episcopal Church Women (ECW) Meetings Resume, Newcomers Welcome

The Sts. Agatha and Mary Chapters of ECW look forward to once again meeting in person, beginning Monday, October 11, at 7:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All women of the church are invited, whether you are a regular attendee or it is your first time. We are looking forward to seeing you so we can chat and see what has been happening in your lives.
Sign Up for the Men’s Retreat

The men of St. Andrew's will have a day retreat at the church on Saturday October 9, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m. The theme is “Resting in God: Finding our way beyond the pandemic.” All are invited, and there is no charge. A light lunch will be provided. Masks will be required indoors. In addition, a “dutch” fellowship dinner will be held offsite on Friday night, October 8. For information and reservations, contact Doug Sanecki at dpsanecki@gmail.com by October 5.
You're Invited!
We look forward to celebrating Rev. Ginny Bain Inman on the occasion of her installation as Rector of St. Andrew’s on October 10th and 10 a.m. The prelude will begin 10 minutes before the service. Nursery care will be provided, and we will have our children's worship programming on that date as well.

Deck the Halls Is Dec. 4

Save the date! Deck the Halls is returning to St. Andrew's on Saturday December 4, 2021. There will be lots of familiar faces and activities as we come together to "Share the Love." In the coming weeks you can learn more about the festivities—some old favorites and new additions. Keeping COVID always in mind, this will be a year of challenges. Please contact Lynda Sanecki lsanecki894@gmail.com) or Virginia Haskett (vbhaskett@yahoo.com) to learn more.
