Familia MHCC,
November is an exciting month for us as we prepare for one of our favorite events of the year, the 33rd Annual Gala! This is a special night dedicated to celebrating the Hispanic Business community, as well as those who have supported the MHCC throughout the year. This year’s Gala Hispana Navideña will showcase diverse elements of our Hispanic culture, and bring together inspiring stories of Hispanic entrepreneurs, highlighting the positive impact they are making on a local and national scale. If you have never been a part of our Gala, don’t delay! I invite you to register and be part of our signature fundraiser event of the year. We look forward to having you join us!
As one of only 10 Hispanic Chambers of Commerce across the U.S., the MHCC is honored to be part of the ELEVATE TOGETHER program in its second year and have a direct impact on small businesses in Michigan that applied for the second round of the Cash Grant initiative this year. I want to thank our board members Anita Quillen, Courtney Morales Hofmann and Lynn Garrison for their leadership on the selection committee. Life on Purpose Detroit (Ferndale), El Central Hispanic Newspaper (Detroit), Hexx Design (Battle Creek), and Agape Fire and Water Restoration (Okemos) are the outstanding Hispanic-owned businesses selected to participate in the program and we look forward to delivering on the committed education, access, and aid to such deserving organizations.
I want to officially welcome our two newest members of the MHCC Board of Directors, Lawrence Garcia (Miller Canfield) & Oscar Camargo (General Motors). It is an honor for me and our organization to count on your leadership, expertise, and professionalism to help guide our Chamber.
Finally, I hope you take advantage of these final weeks of 2022 and seize the opportunity to make a difference in your community and the lives of your colleagues, family, and friends.
Happy Thanksgiving and see you at the Gala!
