Hello,
I’m thinking a lot about gratitude as we get ready to close the doors on 2020. The very definition means to willingly show appreciation and return kindness, and this word resonates with me as we welcome a new year of possibility and hope for the future.
It is with gratitude I’m making an end-of-year contribution to support SEJ and its members, many of whom continue to work tirelessly to cover the world’s most pressing issues, from climate change to the upending of environmental regulations, catastrophic wildfires, environmental injustice and much more.
Our financial gifts together will help ensure SEJ can continue to support environmental reporting in the years to come, through educational programs for environmental journalists, grants for journalists to bring untold stories to light, conferences, awards and more. There are lots of ways to give including by #HonoringTheHeroes of environmental journalism where you can donate to SEJ in your heroes’ names and add them to the Wall of Heroes.
So as 2020 draws to a close, be a hero by supporting environmental reporting through SEJ’s ongoing work to increase and improve environmental journalism. Hurry though, because the deadline to make your tax deductible contribution is today, December 31.
