I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!
First, I would like to clear up the misinformation regarding a recent change to the Board. During an executive session meeting on June 21, the Williamson County Republican Party Executive Committee voted overwhelmingly to remove the First Vice Chairman, Sean Raesemann, for cause per WCRP bylaws.
Due to that decision, the county Party has been under scrutiny; one particular organization pushed an absurdly false notion that I might be a surreptitious Democrat as well as being into CRT and Marxism. Further, I received a childish email stating that the Democrat Party has a spot for me on their board. I get it, this is what liberals do when one dares to think for themselves or hold the line for the truth. Liberals push outrageous lies no matter how misleading or malicious, especially about true conservatives. Nevertheless, as your County Party Chairman, I have and will never disrespect this office. The WCRP is here for you, and we will continue to work hard to carry out the mission and purpose of this Republican organization...period.
Since becoming your County Party Chairman, our Party has grown over 50%, all while generating the highest revenue of all GOP county Parties in Tennessee. We continue to strive daily to exemplify that same devotion and constant effort from your county Party board.
I am reminded of the words of President Ronald Reagan on July 4, 1986 - "... that the things that unite us -- America's past of which we're so proud, our hopes and aspirations for the future of the world and this much-loved country -- these things far outweigh what little divides us." ...we reaffirm that Jew and gentile, we are one nation under God; that black and white, we are one nation indivisible; that Republican and Democrat, we are all Americans."
I encourage you to stay engaged as we have a great deal of work ahead of us. First, the August 4th Primaries which leads us to the imperative mission of incessantly working to take back the House and the Senate in November. Don't be misled vote Republican, remember Perot and Bush? Let's not run the risk of losing to the other side, let's keep our County RED!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with questions or concerns.
As always, it is my honor to serve and represent you,
Cheryl Brown, Chairman
