Kelly Clarkson teamed up with Deaf West Productions to present the song "I Dare You" in American Sign Language. Team member Diana says "This is awesome! These are role models for the deaf community who have a big impact on us!"

American Sign Language interpreters are essential providers of communication for people who are Deaf on any given day...but when we are faced with crisis situations that are continually evolving, sign language interpreters are critical to ensure that important information is effectively communicated. Check out the April 27, 2020 New York Times article: "How Do You Sign Don't Drink Bleach".

During the past week, CILDRC team member Diana was able to deliver a manual wheelchair and shower seat to very sweet lady in Milton. She was so grateful, since lives alone, doesn't drive and has no family.

As you may have heard, Governor DeSantis has issued his Executive Order EO 20-112 Safe. Smart. Step-by-Step. Plan." for Florida’s Recovery , which starts on May 4th. While our Counties begin to re-open, people with disabilities and/or who have compromised immune systems will benefit from protecting themselves, as does the CILDRC and our team. Economic Impact Payments-IRS Updates

Millions of Americans have already received their Economic Impact Payments (Payments) authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) continues to calculate and automatically send the Payments to most eligible individuals, however some may have to provide additional information to the IRS to get their Payments. Below are answers to frequently asked questions related to these Payments. These questions and answers will be updated periodically. Please DO NOT call the IRS.
