I can tell you I have never wanted to visit Bayfield, WI more than after learning about St James Social and hearing the story of Annalisa Bermel, who restored a 140-year-old historic building into a thriving Boutique Hotel & Restaurant. It looks fabulous!
Wisconsin is full of stories like Annalisa's. This is where the WI Department of Tourism, Travel Wisconsin, excels. This powerhouse of tourism experts work year-round to promote and support the travel industry here in Wisconsin. "From grants to advertising co-ops, industry research to helpful training, the Department, its Office of Outdoor Recreation, and the Travel Wisconsin brand offer collaborative opportunities to engage partners in shared goals and help industry leaders elevate tourism success into the future."

The valuable work being done by Travel Wisconsin motivates myself and my colleagues all over Wisconsin to capture the attention of these engaged travelers. So while it is great to get away and explore another zip code, I am excited to be back in the office and continue our own efforts to invite families and new friends to experience all there is to see and do here in Elkhorn: our food, our culture and our people!
