Dominic received new glasses in the LifeCenter yesterday. Recently, he told Karol Brenes he couldn't see.
He was overjoyed. He hugged Karol so tight, and for so long, she could feel his heart beating.
He broke down in tears.
And then this smile of all smiles.
He could see again!
And read again!
In the overcrowded public school, which serves Tejarcillos, children like Dominic are overlooked. He had been a good student, but his grades had been falling. We learned that he hadn't been able to see for a year! He was so afraid he was going blind!
And then he came to the LifeCenter. Karol took him to a specialist to undergo a comprehensive eye exam. The doctor confirmed he couldn't see, and prescribed corrective lenses. The exam and glasses together were $400.
Dominic's name means "belonging to God." Clearly, he was in God's hands. What a miracle!
