Jesus did not say, “I will build my temple; I will build my synagogue; but I will build My Ekklesia.”
In the New Testament the Ekklesia was a building-less, mobile people movement operating 24/7 in the marketplace, designed to impact everybody and also everything. By selecting the Ekklesia model over the temple and the synagogue, Jesus chose an agency better suited to succeed in the marketplace, because His ultimate objective was to see nations discipled by inserting the leaven of His Kingdom into their social fiber through the Ekklesia - which is people.
Jesus’ Ekklesia was not meant to be a sterile, sanitized holding tank into which his disciples were to store in frozen isolation converts fished out of the turbulent and doomed sea to await the arrival of the refrigerator ship that will transfer them to a heavenly port for final processing. No. Instead his Ekklesia, whether in the embryonic expression of the Conventus or in a more expansive version, was designed to inject the leaven of the Kingdom of God into the dough of society so that first people, then cities, and eventually nations would be discipled.

America has lost the rich attire created over the first 200 years by Christians. The culture is now adorned by Secularism’s rags. Where America’s once righteous foundations lay now in ruins, the call of God is for the righteous to start rebuilding.
A last word on politics.
With Bernie Sanders calling for felons to vote, Nancy Pelosi calling for lowering the voting age to 16, Democrats backing illegal immigrants voting rights, and “the widespread effort on the Democratic side to outright abolish the Electoral College,”
one can’t escape the question, what is going on in America?

Evangelical and Pro-Life Catholic Christian conservatives learning to play the long game will face their own set of issues. Former Republican House Speakers Dennis Hastert, in the 106-109
th US Congress, John Boehner in the 112-114
th [until October 29, 2015] and Paul Ryan in the 114
th and 115
th US Congress reinforced the idea that
“when the left wins, they’re in power; when the right wins, they’re in office, and that’s all.”

Evangelicals and Pro-Life Catholic Christians have thus been left with the impression that it won’t make any difference which party will control the 117th US Congress.
It
does
make a difference, however. A whole lot, actually, in every possible way. Fiscally, Democrats favor augmented government-run healthcare, higher taxes, ubiquitous government interference and regulation, open borders, and a cradle-to-grave welfare state. Democrats lobby for abortion, same-sex intercourse and marriage, transgender bathrooms, infanticide, and euthanasia.
The battle in America has nothing to do with Republican versus Democrat.
Rather than political it is the all-encompassing struggle between Biblical Christianity and the false religion of Secularism.
Equally beyond a shadow of a doubt is that with Bernie Sanders as the Democratic Presidential Nominee in August 2020, Democrats are working toward a minority party, permanently.
God be thanked that Gideons and Rahabs are beginning to stand.
