Call for Proposals for 2025 New York Statewide Preservation Conference Due by 11:59 PM on 1/24

In case you missed it, GHHN is delighted to announce that in 2025 we will be partnering with the Landmark Society of Western NY, the City of Poughkeepsie, The Preservation League of New York State, and New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation to present the 2025 New York Statewide Preservation Conference! The Conference will be held in Poughkeepsie from May 6-8.

This joint conference will feature a mix of conference session styles, including GHHN's Follow the Speaker format. Follow the Speaker presenters address all Conference attendees for 10 minutes, then go to break out spaces where attendees may engage with them, ask questions, etc. for up to 30 minutes. This format allows for attendees to engage at a more direct and informal level with presenters and each other. While the call for full length (75 minute) session proposals has ended, the call for Follow the Speaker proposals is open until January 24th. We accept and encourage proposals on all topics related to historic preservation; best practices or innovation in museum, library, or archival work; museum interpretation; collection care; and conservation.
