The team behind the organization of the 2023 ISBNPA Annual Meeting in Uppsala is reading everything for next June 2023.

Two keynotes are already confirmed:
  • Abby King - Stanford University
  • Clare Collins - The University of Newcastle - Australia

And the website supporting the annual meeting, with critical dates, submission information, and much more, is online at https://annualmeeting.isbnpa.org
XChange + Regular In-Person format
We want to learn your thoughts about the ISBNPA 2023 Annual Meeting format.

Your feedback on the ISBNPA 2022 hybrid meeting was essential to developing this format. The experience of having colleagues and sessions in person at the same time that others in different time zones joined online was not well evaluated.

In summary, the in-person attendees said they were missing the online sessions, while the online colleagues said they were missing the in-person sessions (due to timezone issues, mostly).

Considering that feedback, at this point, the organizers are suggesting that ISBNPA 2023 will have two separate annual meetings (for the things we enjoy, two are better than one, right?):

  1. Our regular in-person ISBNPA Annual Meeting in Uppsala, June 14-17, 2023. All sessions will be recorded for later offline access.
  2. Plus an XChange online-only meeting in September 2023: two 3-4 hours sessions from 20-24 UTC/GMT (the "less-bad" time for the different timezones).
  • Everyone is online: participants who attended the in-person meeting plus participants who decided to participate online.
  • All sessions will be recorded for later offline access.

The scientific program of both meetings will be built based on just one call for abstracts/symposia and one call for late-breaking abstracts (as we usually do).
We welcome your thoughts and opinions. Please reply to the query below or use this email to send us your ideas.
