“Elegance is a glowing inner peace. Grace is an ability to give as well as to receive and be thankful. Mystery is a hidden laugh always ready to surface! Glamour only radiates if there is a sublime courage & bravery within: glamour is like the moon; it only shines because the sun is there.”
― C. JoyBell C.

Reincarnation and Past Life Regression
This exciting three part lecture series will be held on the second Sunday of the month through November.
Rev. Story Ducey; Academic Philosopher, 35 year Teacher of metaphysics, and Medium, takes us on a journey to discover past lives that have created patterns of behavior & prompted choices that still affect our lives today.
This series taps into our collective group energy, and provides a safe setting to actually take guided journeys into your past realm. Together we will discuss the regressed memories experienced, & why and how it still has influences over our life. In the process, you will re-acquire blocked strengths to help meet your current goals.
Each class will have a Talk and guided past life regression with discussion. Course is open to all levels, from Novice to Avatar.

Allowing Abundance
Next circle is Tuesday September 29th
This circle, facilitated by Elke Saal, will meet monthly on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
Based on the Abraham Hicks teachings and using principles of intention we will deepen our understanding of allowing abundance into our lives. As “Like attracts Like” we need to feel what we desire emotionally before it can manifest into the reality that we prefer. We will strengthen our intentions for abundance with the support of the group energy field.

Our friend and ISD family member, John Wargo, passed from this earthly plane after a long and courageous battle with illness. We send our love and healing energy to his family and loved ones.

After service on Sunday, we stayed to share some of our fond memories of John. If you would like to share your own memories, here is a link to his memorial page:

Let us close our eyes and for but a moment feel that eternal sunshine that John has become one with.
Let us feel the warmth and comfort of that Light and allow it to give rise to a deep joy. The joy we feel for having known him and for having been a part of his life. No matter how brief our time with him may have been, he touched us and we walked for a ways together; a companion on each other’s journey.
Most holy Spirit we ask that you allow us to combine our light with yours that he may be embraced and enfolded by our love in addition to yours.
We extend our love even wider and embrace those closest to him. And ask that our love help to heal any pain or struggles within the hearts of those still here; so that John may move onward with joyous memories lining his path and love lighting his way.

Our love and prayers also go out to our own Sarah Andros, who unexpectedly lost her mother on Sunday. Sara, we send you all of our love and hold you tight in our prayers

"Goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes. Because for those who love with heart and soul there is no such thing as separation." ~ Rumi
Where Everything Is Music’ by Rumi

Don’t worry about saving these songs!
And if one of our instruments breaks,
it doesn’t matter.
We have fallen into the place
where everything is music.
The strumming and the flute notes
rise into the atmosphere,
and even if the whole world’s harp
should burn up, there will still be
hidden instruments playing.
So the candle flickers and goes out.
We have a piece of flint, and a spark.
This singing art is sea foam.
The graceful movements come from a pearl
somewhere on the ocean floor.
Poems reach up like spindrift and the edge
of driftwood along the beach, wanting!
They derive
from a slow and powerful root
that we can’t see.
Stop the words now.
Open the window in the centre of your chest,
and let the spirits fly in and out.
And the Good News Is!!!!!

  • A doctoral student from India came up with this amazing design, while in quarantine. With Covid cases on the rise in India, there followed a shortage of available hospital beds. Designer, Rhea Shah, worked with her family through their industrial paper mill and came up with heavy duty, water resistant, and affordable cardboard beds. Read the Good News Network article Here

  • This is a beautiful blog post by, Russell Siler Jones Th.D., LCMHCS, where he talks about what he has learned from his clients about coping with the pandemic. The article from Psychology Today, ‘Spiritual Wisdom in the Time of COVID-19’ is worth a read and you can find it Here

  • Grief is very real and seems to be intensified during these times of Covid. Loss of a loved one, loss of a job, financial concerns, overall concern about what is going on in the world…many of our current experiences can trigger grief. If you need to understand what you or a loved one are going through and some suggestions on coping, please check out this Very Well Mind article, Here

These links will remain here so that you will easily be able to find them if you have a need:

  • Do you or someone you know need some assistance with mental health issues or coping during this pandemic period. Here is a link to the US Department of Health & Human Services that will provide you with resources and tools to help deal with the stress of this time.

  • Do you have coronavirus questions? Here is an interesting article from CNN that may answer some of them. Questions like, "When are people with coronavirus most contagious?" and "How safe are public restrooms?"
Got Bottles & Cans to return?

ISD has a CLYNK account at Hannaford in Oneonta.

How can I help?
Go to the Lotus Center, 41-45 Dietz St., and even if the door is locked, you will see stickers in the plastic flyer display holder on the wall to the LEFT of the Door, under the prayer flags.
Take one to put on each bag that you are bringing to Hannaford- Ask someone there where the bags go. With that correct tag on it, the bottle deposit money goes directly into the ISD Oneonta Account.

Thank you to all who have brought in your 5 cent returnables for us to return, and to Connie Lull for delivering to Hannaford.
We have built up about $160 for ISD just from returning our cans!
Thank you!

Help us to raise the money to pay ISD National for our hymnals.
You are invited to dedicate an ISD Oneonta hymnal in the name of a loved one. For a donation of $35 a custom bookplate will be permanently placed in a hymnal.
You may dedicate it to the Memory of a friend or loved one who has died; OR you may present it "in Honor of:" a living friend or loved one, who you would like to honor- as a gift to mark a special occasion, or just to thank them.

Simple to do, click on the below link, fill out the form, and press send!
Just a reminder that we are continuing our Prayer Warriors group, every day at 5pm we pause to pray and send our healing energies where they are most needed right now

Each day at 5 PM EST, we will pause for about 10 minutes and meditate and pray with the intention of sending healing energy to all.
You do not have to be present each day. Requests for healing or suggestions should be submitted to our Healing Program director, Jo Ann Wormuth at the below ISD website link:
