The start will be in The South West corner of the at the intersection of route 100 and Old Kings road (Winn Dixie

parking lot) in Flagler county.

19 miles total round trip.

This is a social paced ride, a free event.

A “Tour de France” Themed Wine Tasting!

Here’s something really new for the River2Sea Loop Association - A Tour de France

Wine Tasting! The 2026 TDF starts in Spain and so will we on our tour. The tasting will

have four wines to sample. Hors d’oeuvres by Chef Joe will accompany the tasting. No

pedaling involved. The Tour will be held at a private location in Ormond Beach and

limited to 20 participants. Tickets will be a donation of $50 and will help the 501(c)3

Alliance pursue our mission. Saturday, December 13th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.

The 2025 Florida Bicycle Summit

Pedaling Forward: Shaping the Future of Cycling

The Florida Bicycle Summit was held on November 14, with events continuing through the weekend in Winter Garden. This offered a unique opportunity to interact with state and nations leaders collaborating with Florida Bicycle Association, including Bill Nesper, Executive Director of the League of American Bicyclists (bikeleague.org) and Ned Baier, President of the Florida Greenways & Trails Foundation (fgtf.org).

River-to-Sea Loop Alliance President Maggie Ardito and Directors Jeff Shepherd and Joe Cona took part in the multiday event. Courtney, outgoing President, presented the amazing work FBA is doing to advance the mission to “Make Florida better for people who want and need to bike” and incoming President Rich Garrett shared his priorities for the 5-year road ahead which are perfectly aligned with the River2SeaLoop Alliance mission. Maggie said “It was a great honor to be named FBA Board Member at the event."

Volusia Flagler TPO Project Applications

The Volusia Flagler TPO Call for project applications to the 2026 Project Prioritization

Process for Feasibility Studies and Implementation projects begins on December 1 with

Applications due on February 27, 2026. There have been a few changes to the

instructions and applications. Projects represented on the Volusia Trails Master Plan

(see link at river2sealoop.links) or another plan listed in the instructions may be eligible

for funding. If you are a county or city manager or planner, now is the time to think

about trails needed in the next five years. If you’re an advocate now is the time to

encourage decision makers in your district to apply.

Call to Action: Help Preserve our Gains

for Cycling and Walking

The Federal Government is threatening Zero Funding for train stations or bike paths

or walking paths through 2031. Don’t let this happen! Add your voice by writing to

your representatives. The League of American Bicyclists makes it easy for you to

express your views on this to the people who matter in the decision-making process -

your representatives in congress. All you have to do is write your message in the space

provided. They do all the work of contacting your representatives and making sure your

message gets through.
