Is it Lake Arrowhead or Arrowhead Woods or Lake Rights?
          March 20, 2017  Issue 259
Lake Arrowhead elevation, when full, is 5,106.70 feet. We're low only 3.77 feet -- plus rain this week. Explaining  the difference in our jargon of 'LAKE OWNERSHIP;  'Can I put a boat on the lake?' Well...

Arrowhead Woods consists of 4,886 acres of land surrounding Lake Arrowhead. The land is divided into approximately 10,000 parcels. The Arrowhead Woods Architectural Committee is a California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation with broad powers dating from 1923 to enforce the covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs) attached to all properties in Arrowhead Woods. Our purpose, and yours, should be to maintain the quality of design, certain minimum living space requirements, attractiveness, individuality, harmony with surrounding houses, energy conservation, and many other factors, which protect and enhance property values in Arrowhead Woods.

LAKE ARROWHEAD BOUNDARIES ARE SET BY THE ARROWHEAD ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE
Lake Arrowhead is privately owned by the Arrowhead Lake Association (ALA) for the recreational use and enjoyment of all its members, their families, and their guests. ALA owns and operates the lake, Burnt Mill and Tavern Bay Beach Clubs, Marina Peninsula Park, and Grass Valley Lake. ALA also owns and maintains property around the lake maintaining numerous accesses that allow property owners access to the lake at specified areas. There are 576 lots recognized as 'lakefront' by the policy adopted September 17, 1977.
The mission of the Arrowhead Lake Association is "to protect. operate, and improve Lake Arrowhead properties and to provide reasonable and safe recreational facilities in a fiscally responsible manner, with appropriate planning for the future."
All properties located within the boundary of Arrowhead Woods (except Lakewood A & B) have lake rights, giving the owners the right to use the lake for recreational purposes: fishing, swimming, boating, and using the reserve strip and reserve strip addition for foot travel where designated. Access map with all the details of street access staring points and walking the perimeter is available at the ALA office. Property owners who choose to be members of the association have access to association-provided improvements.

"LAKE ARROWHEAD"  IS A BUNCH OF COMMUNITIES, BUT ONLY ONE HAS LAKE RIGHTS.
