"It is because of Britepaths that we are still

Fairfax County residents today."

Britepaths client Roshon Casey-Lee testified before Fairfax County's CCFAC on October 10

It truly takes a community to provide supports to our neighbors who are experiencing a financial crisis, and we are fortunate to live in one that is continually striving to improve these supports. Our Financial Empowerment mentoring client Roshon gave powerful testimony on October 10 before Fairfax County’s Consolidated Community Funding Advisory Committee (CCFAC).

Roshon shared the challenges she and her family have experienced due to high rent, and she detailed the ways Britepaths’ holistic services provided them with the tools and resources that are helping them change their trajectory.

Britepaths receives significant grants through Fairfax County’s Consolidated Community Funding Pool that help make our stability and personal empowerment programs possible. Roshon was one of many County residents who testified as they assess housing and community development needs to be addressed in the One-Year Action Plan for FY 2025.

We are thankful to Roshon for testifying, and to CCFAC and the many Fairfax County departments and their staff who are working to better understand and address the needs of the community members we serve.

Help Us Put Food On The Table This Holiday Season!

What does this time of year mean for you? For many of us, November and December are a time for holiday celebrations. For the families Britepaths serves, whose budgets are already stretched far too thin, it means making heartbreaking choices.

Children who receive free and reduced-price meals at school will soon be home on long school breaks. You can help local families in need put food on the table and ensure a season of joy for all our neighbors.
