St. Jude's Family Newsletter!

Happy New Year to you and your family! We hope that you are having a joyous Christmas season! We have so many wonderful opportunities for families to get more involved at St Jude's this year. 2023 is also our church's 50th Anniversary. Mark your calendars for the many exciting events planned.
As a reminder, Religious Education Classes will resume on January 8th and 11th. We look forward to seeing you soon!

New Year's Resolution Ideas to Grow in Faith

  • Pray with your family every day
  • Learn a new Catholic prayer
  • Visit a local Shrine as a family
  • Start the First Saturday Devotion
  • Pray the Rosary together as a family
  • Join a Bible Study group at St Jude's (see bulletin for all available groups)
  • Come to a Mom's group meeting, last Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm
  • Attend Eucharistic Adoration (offered on the First Friday at 7 pm and see special Heart to Heart Adoration information below)
  • Check out A Catholic Mom's Life resolution worksheet
  • Consider Marian Consecration or Consecration to St Joseph for yourself or your family
  • Use Formed.org for a family movie night
  • Check out Faith in 5 - simple catechesis for the whole family!
  • Choose a Patron Saint for your family for the year and strive to learn more about that Saint and pray to them throughout the year
  • Add liturgical feast days and suggestions to your online calendar
  • Listen to Fr. Mike Schmitz's Bible in a Year or Catechism in a Year podcast!
  • Watch the popular streaming series The Chosen, about the life of Jesus and the Apostles



January Liturgical Resources on Formed.org

St Jude's is hosting the second of three Heart-to-Heart Healing Adoration Nights on Saturday January 28 at 7 pm. It will be a time of praise music, Adoration, Confession, preaching, and an opportunity to receive prayers. Childcare will be provided!  Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to come early at 6:30 pm for pizza beforehand with Encounter Youth Group.


If you missed the last month's event make sure to attend this month! This is a wonderful event for the whole family!

Have you used the New Children's Missals?

Announcing new Children's Missals for 2023. We have purchased 20 Children's Missals for the children of the Parish to use during Mass. They will be located on the bottom shelf of the family ministry table.


Please return to the table after use so that children at other Masses can easily find them.

St. Jude's 50th Anniversary Celebration!

January Saint Trivia

This Saint was dedicated to prayer, had a strong devotion to St. Joseph, and selflessly cared for the sick. He aimed to be always faithful to God and to cooperate with His will for his life. 


He became known as a "wonder-worker", since many of his prayers resulted in miracles.


He was very dedicated to St. Joseph and built a great chapel in his honor.

The Baptism of Jesus

This marked the beginning of Jesus' ministry and confirmed His identity as the Son of God
