Goochland Pet Lovers would like to personally invite you and your family and friends to join us on Thursday, July 21 from 4:30-6:30, for our Volunteer Appreciation Event and Open House at the Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center!
Come in and take a tour of the Shelter and see all of the wonderful animals we have up for adoption. Our Shelter Buddies volunteers will be available to answer any questions you have if you are interested in volunteering at the Shelter. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Deb Weymouth, will also be there to take volunteer applications. Children ages 12-15 are welcome to volunteer at the Shelter with a guardian.
If you are interested in helping out at Goochland Pet Lovers' community events, Jennifer Myers the Executive Director for GPL, will be happy to discuss our future projects. Our Good Neighbor Fund Clinic Coordinator, Blaine Converse, will also be able to share with you the volunteers needed for our quarterly vet clinics which provide no cost preventative veterinary care to residents of Goochland and Powhatan Counties for their pets.
BEST OF ALL - you can get your dinner from the Braise N Smoke food truck. There will be a vegetarian option as well.
So come out to help us celebrate the TWO year anniversary of the the Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center and meet our dedicated volunteers, Goochland Pet Lovers' Board members, the Shelter Staff and Animal Protection Officers.
