Join the community in honoring the lives lost and the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice 25 years ago. The township will host a morning ceremony beginning at 8:46 a.m. at the 9/11 Memorial at the upper parking lot of Montgomery Veterans Park, followed by the evening ceremony hosted by Montgomery Vol. Fire Co. 2.
The evening ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. at the company’s fire station at 529 County Rt. 518, Skillman, NJ. Montgomery High School Marching Band will perform and refreshments will be served.

In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, residents have been contributing to a special mosaic mural celebrating our shared history, creativity and vision for the future. Each tile will create the larger Unity Tree Mural, symbolizing the diversity and unity of our community.

We are excited to host two community engagement meetings with Plan4HealthNJ this fall. The Plan4HealthNJ program is dedicated to making our township a safer, healthier place to live.
The first community engagement meeting is scheduled for September 22 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Residents are invited to reexamine the Master Plan, provide feedback and help guide future decisions. Interested participants can register here. More information can be found here.
The 2026-2027 hunting season begins Saturday. The bow hunting season runs through February. The six-day firearm season will run for a week in December. More information can be found on the township website. Questions can be sent to the Township Clerk at (908) 359-8211, ext. 2211.
It’s almost flu season! Protect yourself and the community by getting a flu vaccine. The Montgomery Health Department is hosting flu clinics throughout October to provide free vaccines to the community. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Find more information here.
