Students Volunteer at
"Give Kids the World"
|
"Give Kids the World" is often called The Eighth Wonder of the World. A 79-acre resort complex in Kissimmee, Fla., it is designed to provide memorable, magical, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Twelve Sophomore Experience students, along with staff members Rebecca McQueen and Matthew Ruark, took The Wesleyan Way to Florida and spent their Christmas break volunteering at "Give Kids the World." They served meals, operated attractions and interacted with children and their families from around the world. This is the second year in a row the Sophomore Experience has volunteered at the resort.
